Witr salaat (Shafi / Salafi)

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org
Is it true that we have to repeat our witr if we have prayed behind a Shafi/Salafi imam. So my question is that what should we do if we go to Makkah Al Mokaramma and there in Masjid-e-Haram they lead witr according to the Shafi method? Even there(such a Muqaddas Place) are we (following the Hanafi method) told to not pray witr or can we pray and repeat. Or What is the hokum?
According to hanafi school of thought this ‘witr’
should be repeated because if salam was said after the two rakat’s and then one rakat was performed then it’s not a valid ‘witr’.
