Question
If someone had a bad habit as a child of eating their bogies or dried snot, is this a sin that would require repentance?
Also, would such an act invalidate a person’s salah, like the consumption of alcohol does?

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful and Compassionate
It is a good sign of your faith that you have concerns about your prayer.
It would be disliked and against self-respect to eat one’s snots. It would not require one to repent.
Eating one’s snots in the prayer at pre-puberty age does not have to be repeated. However, when one reaches puberty, if any item is taken from outside the mouth, swallowing any amount, be it small, breaks the prayer. [Al-Hadiyya al-Ala’iyyah]
