Question: Assalam aleykum

1. Is it lawful to enter into a draw which a supermarket offers for free after you have done shopping of a specific amount?

2. Are loyalty programs lawful?

1. This would only be interdicted and considered gambling if there is a risk of loss of wealth. In other words, if entry into a raffle is free without an individual staking some money – even if merely as an entry fee -, it would be permissible.
