Is it Permissible To Use Verses of the Qur’an as a Way To Avoid a Miscarriage?

Question: Asalamu Alaikum

I have heard that if a pregnant lady read the verse 13:8 from the Quran and blows on water and then drinks the water then In shaa Allah she will not have a miscarriage or lose the baby. Is it true or is it like magic?

Answer: Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

I pray that you are in the best of health and faith, insha’Allah.

No, this is not magic, but rather a drop in the ocean of the healing that is the Qur’an.

According to the vast majority of scholars, it is permitted to use a protective amulet and protective words on condition that they are made from the Names and Attributes of Allah, or His Words in the Qur’an. [al-Mawsu`ah al-Fiqhiyya al-Kuwaitiyya]
