Our cat broke his leg: should we keep him? Should we put him to sleep?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

I am 10-years-old and my cat caught a baby mouse. We think he broke his leg. Is it okay to keep him if he is crippled and has no chance of living in the wild? He seems to be doing much better since I got him and he looks much more happy. He seems to like me a lot….

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
