Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Is it permissible for a Muslimah to massage another Muslimah, or non Muslim woman for therapeutic purposes or relaxation?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful and Compassionate.

There is no harm in a Muslim woman getting a message from another woman, as long as:

a) her nakedness (awra) before women remains covered;

b) direct physical contact between navel to knee (even through clothing) is avoided; and

c) dignity and propriety is maintained.

And Allah alone gives success.

Wassalam,

Faraz Rabbani
