If a husband and wife have involved themselves in anal sex with mutual consent, are they condemned?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

In the Name of Allah, Merciful and Compassionate

Anal sex is impermissible and a major sin, by scholarly agreement, because of the primary texts that clearly establish this. [Nawawi, Majmu`; Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar] If one errs, the door of repentance is always open: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Verily, Allah accepts the servant’s repentance until their final breath.”
