Pig Dissection?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Ilyas Patel

Is dissecting the heart of a pig permissible for educational purposes? If the pig heart touches the skin, is washing thoroughly with soap sufficient to remove the filth? Is any washing of the hands necessary if latex gloves are used? And if latex gloves are used, washed with soap, and then dry, do they transfer filth to dry surfaces? Do the gloves have to be washed multiple times?

In the name of Allah Most Compassionate Merciful

I hope you are fine and in the best of health and iman.

Dissecting the heart of a pig would be permissible if latex gloves are used, and disposed of after, as they are used mostly as  disposables. One should not use them again. If your skin touches any part of the pig, then it should be thoroughly washed. However, if you keep using the same gloves for the same purpose, then there is no need to keep washing them. One does not have to wash ones hands too, as the gloves cover them.

And Allah alone knows best
