I would appreciate if you could forward me the evidence used for 4 Rakat sunnah b4 and after the 2 rakat fard of juma salat? I was discussing with some brothers who say the sunnah is only 2 rakat before the 2 rakat fard of jumua.

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

On the authority of Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said: “When one of you performs the Friday prayer, he should perform four (rak’ats) after it. ” (Muslim)

On the authority of Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami (Allah be pleased with him) that he said, Abdullah (Allah be pleased with him) used to order us to perform four rak’ats before and after Jumu’a.

There are numerous ahadith to prove the above. (I’laal-Sunan, Imam Zafar Ahmad Usmani Vol. 7)
