RE: Qunoot Nazila

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Abu Usamah

I have heard that some of the Hanafis have said it is not permissible to perform the qunoot nazila as it has been abrogated. is there a difference of opinion amongst the Hanafis in the “actual” carrying out of this act?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Al-Salam alaykum

Qunut al-Nazilah is still ordained according to the Hanafi school at the time of a calamity. It is offered in the Fajr salah.

This is proven in nearly all the books of Hanafi Fiqh (Radd al-Muhtar, Maraqi al-Falah etc.)

I don’t know of any difference of opinion amongst the Hanafis in this regard.
