Please could you clarify if we are supposed to recite the final 3 surahs and then blow into our hands and then pass them over our bodies OR should we blow into our hands first and then recite the final 3 surahs and then pass our hands over our bodies.

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

It has been narrated in Bukhari and Muslim from `A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) that, “When the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) use to take his place of resting, he used to blow into his two hands and recite the Mu`awwadhat [Surah al-Ikhlas, al-Falaq, al-Naas] and pass and wipe his hands over the body.’

(Imam Nawawi, Al-Adhkar-al-Muntakhaba li-sayyidi’l-Abrar, pg 122)

And Allah alone gives success.
