Feet facing picture of the Prophet’s Mosque

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Is it wrong or even disliked, for ones feet to be facing a picture of Masjid Al- Nabi ( in Madina) while sleeping. The picture is hung up on a wall, well above my feet area while sleeping. It’s simply a poster of the masjid.

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

I pray that this finds you well, and in the best of health and spirits. May Allah grant you all good and success in this life and the next.

It would be disrespectful to point one’s feet towards a picture of the Prophet’s Mosque when it is close and at the level of the feet, and not disrespectful otherwise.

And Allah alone gives success.

Faraz Rabbani
