Q: I have committed a very big sin. I am really ashamed. And I am very much disturbed. I took hold of a Quraan and lied. The Quraan was in my hand and I lied. I was very much scared. Please help me and tell me how can I repent?
A: Taking a false oath is a major sin. You should sincerely repent to Allah Tala and beg Him to forgive you. Make a firm resolve that you will never repeat this major sin in the future. If you sincerely repent to Allah Tala, He will definitely forgive you.
