Asr and Disliked Time

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

if you know readingasr will get you into the makrooh time or it is already the makrooh time, is it better to read asr so it ends potentially in the makrooh time or even maghrib time or to delay until after maghrib? If asr went into or was read in the makrooh time, would it have to be re-read anyway?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah

I pray this finds you in the best of health and spirits.

It remains obligatory to perform Asr within its time, and one’s act of delaying till the disliked time itself will have been disliked. ( Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar )
