Alhamdulillah I got married recently and my wife is 2 weeks pregnant. we are staying alone and not in joint family. We are mentally not prepared for a child right now. We are also planning to go for Hajj next year insha-Allah, which has become Fard upon me. Is it lawful to do an abortion at this stage based on above issues? Please advice.

It is not any reasonable Shariah excuse not to get ready for the child rights. Hence, it is not lawful to abort the pregnancy without a valid reason. Nikah is meant for procreation and reproduction and you are not happy with it mentally nor ready for it. This feeling of yours is not a religious one.
