What if a little urine comes out after wudu? Is it excused?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Sometimes I have to urinate before I do wudu. SO after I do my business, I then then do wudu. but for some reason after I do wudu, I inadvertently urinate a very small amount…and I have to emphasise very small. I was just wondering how much urine one can produce before it invalidates wudu. I have heard about the size of a 50p coin

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

1. Wudu is broken by any filth (such as urine) exiting from the private parts, even if little. [Tumurtashi, Tanwir; Shurunbulali, Nur al-Idah]

2. After relieving oneself, it is obligatory that one free oneself of any remaining traces of urine such that nothing will come out after one’s wudu. It is a strongly confirmed sunna to clean one’s private parts, using toilet paper (or the like) and/or water. [ibid]
