As-Salamualykum wa rahmatullah
During the 3rd or 4th raka of Dhur prayer (fardh prayer); if one recites a small sura after Al-Fatiha, does one have to perform forgetfullness prostration? If yes, and if one does not perform the forgetfullness prostration, does it invalidate the prayer?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

I pray that this finds you well, and in the best of health and spirits. May Allah grant you all good and success in this life and the next.

Reciting after the Fatiha in the 3rd or 4th Rakat of Obligatory Prayers doesn’t affect the validity or soundness of the prayer–it is improper and somewhat disliked, and thus proper to avoid, though.
