Answer
No, women are not allowed to cut their hair. Only under certain circumstances like split ends is a woman permitted to clip the ends of the hair. However, a significant amount is not permitted as it would be imitating men or Kuffar women. If one asks, How about if it is cut just enough as to avoid imitation of men and women? I will say, what is the exact amount that falls under this category? Every woman will try to use her own discretion in trying to judge what is imitation and what is not, thus, they will be cutting their hair significantly which is not allowed in Shari’ah. For this reason, to close the doors from the very beginning we will say that it is not allowed in Shari’ah to cut their hair to any length. Hair is beauty for a woman.
