Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q:

  1. Is it Haraam or Makrooh Tahreemi to remove the beard on the two parts of the cheeks and keep only the one on the chin?
  2. Is it Makrooh Tahreemi to remove the white beard on both (the thick and thin beard)?
  3. Is it better to repeat the salaah prayed behind a faasiq (one who shaves or trims his beard)?
  4. Can a faasiq be a witness or wakeel for a nikah?
  5. Some people remove the two side of the anfaqa (baby beard), what is the hukm?

A:

  1. It is not permissible.
  2. Yes.
  3. The namaaz is valid.
  4. Yes.
  5. It is not right to remove the anfaqah.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
