Wife standing in front of her husband when performing salaah in the same room

Q: If a husband and wife are reading salaah at home in the same room but separately, is it necessary for the wife to read behind the husband or can the wife read in front of the husband even if it is on one side?

Bismillaah

A: Though the salaah will be valid if she stands behind him or in front of him, however, adab (respect) requires that she should stand behind him.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
