Q: Between the mother and father, who’s right is it to name the child?
Please advise as to how should we choose a name.
A: In these matters it is best for the husband to discuss with the wife, thereafter the father should name the child.
Perhaps a few names could be chosen which both the spouses like and thereafter one name could be agreed upon.
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
