Touching something after making istinjaa

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q:

1. If one does istinja using their hands, are their hands pure once they have finished istinja?

2. If they touch something right after with wet hands, do that thing become impure?

3. Also, I am a female and often, when I am squatting and making istinja with running water, I fear that water enters and exists my vagina. I cannot be sure about it but I feel as though it might be. I know water that exits the vagina is not pure yet, I do not see how I could pour water over my private parts without it entering the vagina (in fact I can’t see how any other women would be able to avoid this as well) and I can’t not wash it either. What should I do in this case?

Bismillaah

A:

1. Yes.

2. That will be pure.

3. Just wash the exterior. You do not have to pour water inside.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
