Taking an oath not to talk to someone

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If a person takes an oath of Allah not to talk to a person and now he wants to talk to that person, what is the command of Allah and Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) regarding this.

Bismillaah

A: He should talk to him and pay the kaffaarah for breaking the oath.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
