Souls in Aalam-e-Arwaah

Q: I have heard from many people that our souls were already created and we had met in a place only Allah knows, long before we were born. Is it true? And what hadith and Quraan says about it?

Bismillaah

A: Yes, this is true. Before coming into this world the souls were in Aalam-e-arwaah (the plain of the souls).

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
