Getting married to a girl one found on facebook

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q:

1. I myself like a girl. Hence, she is from my own country Afghanistan but she lives in UK and I found her in Facebook and I came to know much about her through chat and I did proposed her because of her Good Manners and being so much Islamic and Bataqwa and her Deen and she accepted my proposal but the issue is I have bit financial problems and that’s why it will take some time from me to go to UK to get Nikah with her may be in 1 Year Insha Allah. So my main questions is that currently I am talking to her through chat no calls, no video nothing else just chatting daily to her. Meanwhile, if you kindly tell me am I allowed to talk to her through chat daily according to Islam and am I making fitnah or not but the truth is I really like her allot and I am really interested in her that’s why I am trying my best to reach myself there to UK to get Nikah with her so kindly let me know weather I am allowed or not?

2. As I mentioned in my first question I must go to UK so I can be able to get Nikaah with her and for that I need money where my relatives and no one is ready to lend me money but there is a bank which Is going to give me loan around 10000 $ but while returning that money back to the bank after some time they need benefit may be 500 $ or less or more but that is called in Islam (Sood) but I am compeled to take loan from bank because no one is going to give me money or Qarz-e-Hasana though, I must go there to UK to be able to get Nikah with her so dear brother kindly tell me am I allowed to take loan from bank in such tough situation where no one is ready to lend me money accept the bank and while returning that money back they need bit profit so am I allowed to take loan from bank according to Islam or not?

Bismillaah

A:

1. If she consented getting married to you then make nikaah and then chat with her.

2. Totally avoid all types of interest.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
