Looking through someone’s personal files

Q: If I deliberately go through a persons personal file and see personal stuff about them. I then repent to Allah for my sin. Do I need to tell the person what I did and ask them for maaf too. They are totally unaware of it.

A: Yes, you should ask for maaf for invading his privacy.
