Detaining staff after the time of employment

Q: Is it permissible to read Salaatul Asr after five at work and make the staff wait for you whilst you are reading Salaah?

Bismillaah

A: It is wrong to detain the staff after the time of employment for no valid reason. They have given themselves in your employment for an agreed amount of time. To use them above the agreed amount of time without any remuneration is impermissible, it will amount to extortion and cheating.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
