Silver rings with studs for men

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: My wedding is yet to come and I am on the look out for a wedding ring for my fiance. I wanted to know can men wear any other ring beside gold as I know gold is haraam for men. Also what if on the ring it has a diamante stud on it? Or does it have to be a plain silver ring weighing less then 4.35g? If you could answer me I would be very grateful.

Bismillaah

A: Men are only allowed to wear silver rings. The amount of silver should not exceed one mithqaal (4.374 g). It is permissible to have a stone on the ring or diamante stud on it provided it does not resemble rings worn by women.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
