Divorced Woman with Single Daughter: Cash Distribution in Wasiat

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I want to ask that if a divorced women (husband is dead now) has only single daughter, so what is the ruling of that cash she had in the bank? How will it be distributed as her wasiat?

Bismillaah

A: Perhaps you are referring to how the money must be distributed after her death. If this wealth belongs to her entirely then it will go to her heirs. We do not have detailed information of her heirs, whether she has parents, siblings, another husband etc. Hence, we cannot give you the exact shares or portions.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
