Answer:
The lifting of the finger proven from the Prophet (S.A.W.) is in Salaah in Tashahhud in a specific manner, i.e. lifting the index finger after folding the little and ring finger into the palms and forming a circle with the thumb and middle finger by making the tip of one touch the tip of the other. (Raddul Muhtaar, Vol. 1, Page 375-376)
No text is found substantiating the lifting of the finger after Salaah which you have stated in your question.
