Is it ok to recite Sura-Al-Baqra over the grave?

After burial, the beginning and ending of Sura-Al-Baqra is recited over the grave. Is it better for it to be recited audibly or softly?

الجواب حامدا و مصلیا

It can be recited in both ways (i.e. audibly and inaudibly). However, instead of reciting it audibly, it is better to recite it softly.
