Is Tha’weez allowed only for children?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Jamia Binoria
Assalamu AlaikumI am Sheraz who is employed at Abudhabi. I wanted to ask about Tha’weez. The Imam of the Masjid here prevented me from wearing Tha’weez and said that it is allowed only for children. I wanted to get your opinion in this regard. Awaiting your Duas. Sheraz Ahmed Please inform me of a Wazeefa as a treatment to snore. May Allah reward you. Aameen.

Those Amulets which do not contain wordings of Kufr or Shirk, or that which are not incomprehensive but, include words of Qur’an and Hadees and used only for accepted purposes, are permissible according to the Shari’a. The idea behind using such amulets is not at all to say that the user has come out from the safety of Allah Tha’ala and found shelter in the safety of the amulet, but this is only to get the blessings of those sacred words and avail the benefit of them as is done in doing Damm.
