How is it to call Ya Rasool Allah? – یا رسول اللہ کہنا?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Jamia Binoria

How is it to call YA RASOOL ALLHA? Please explain in the light of Qur’an and Hadees. You will be grately appreciated.

الجواب حامدا و مصلیا

It is permissible beyond doubt to address Rasoolullahi Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam with words like Ya Rasoolullah etc if any person appears in the presence of Rowdha e Ath har of Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam. And using such words while one is distantly away from the Rowdha e Ath har with a belief and concept that Rasoolullahi Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam is present with me, he sees me and listens me calling him with words like Ya Rasoolullah etc. is, beyond doubt impermissible and in this situation such concepts are Shirk (attributing partners to Allah).
Therefore it is incumbent to refrain from having such concepts and using those words while sending Durood and Salam.
Allah knows best.
