Mufthi Sahib, The question is, what is and evil eye (nazr e bad)? How does one know that he is effected by it? What is the remedy that Shari’a gives for it? In this connection can anybody’s assistance be sought?

Evil eye is the invisible influence of gaze which perpetrate in a preferable thing resulting in monetary or physical loss etc. Nabi e Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam has taught Duas too as protection and remedy against it and one of which is to recite A’OOZU BI KALIMAATHILLAHITH THAAMMA MIN KULLI SHAITHANIN HAAMMA WA MIN KULLI AI NIN LAAMMA and blow upon oneself. In this connection, assistance could be sort from an expert Aamil who follows the Shari’a too.
