Does Pain Relief Gel nullify the fast?
Question:
If a pain relief gel is used on the feet or the arms whilst fasting, does this nullify the fast?

Answer:
Pain relief gel that is applied on the feet or arms does not nullify the fast.
قال محمد في الأصل (٢/١٧٢): ومثل الدهن يدهن به شاربه، انتهى. وعن أبي هريرة قال: إذا كان أحدكم صائما فليدهن حتى لا يرى عليه أثر صومه، رواه ابن أبي شيبة (٩٧٥٥) والبخاري في الأدب (١٣٠٣) بسند ضعيف۔
