Train ticket fraud
Question
If someone used the train or the subway without a ticket many years ago, how does he repent? Does he give Ṣadaqah for this?
بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم
Answer
Repent to Allah Almighty and give the ticket money to the train or subway company, by sending them a cheque or purchasing a ticket from the same firm at the same cost without using it.
Giving Ṣadaqah is not necessary, however, one can choose to do so once the ticket money has been repaid.
