What is the definition of Al Marfu’ and Al Mawquf?

Al Marfu’: That narration in which the statements, actions, approvals or qualities (shamail) are attributed to Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).
Al Mawquf: A narration in which the statements or actions are attributed to a Sahabi (radiyallahu ‘anhu).
