The incident wherein Sayyiduna ‘Uthman (radiyallahu’ anhu) purchased the well of Rumah for the Muslims in Madinah Munawwarah is well known.
My question is: Did he purchase the well from a Sahabi or from a Jew?

The correct view is that it was purchased from a Jew.
