Nabi’s (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) advice when milking animals

Is this authentic?

Answer

Imam Ahmad and other Muhaddithun have recorded this Hadith. ‘Allamah Haythami (rahimahullah) has declared the chain reliable (jayyid).

(Musnad Ahmad, vol. 3 pg. 484, Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 8 pg. 196)

Translation

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) gave Sayyiduna Sawadah ibn Rabi’ some camels and advised him, When you return home, advise your folk to feed the young camels well and order them to clip their nails [so that] they do not injure the [udders] when milking.

(Refer: Hashiyatus Sindhi, vol. 3 pg. 623-624)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
