Zakat has to be paid if one possesses gold or silver. Does it have to be paid if one possesses platinum jewelry, pearls or diamonds? How is zakat calculated in this case?

Zakat isn’t due on platinum jewelry. In terms of jewelry, Zakat is only obligatory on gold and silver .
