What is the reference for this narration?
Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“If people only knew what [reward] there was to call the Adhan and to [stand in] the first row [in congregational Salah], and could find no other way to get it than drawing lots for it, they would draw lots for it”
Answer:
Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim (rahimahumallah) have recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu).
