Can you provide the reference for this narration?
Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“The worst among the servants of Allah are those who gossip and create rifts between friends”
Answer:
Imam Ahmad (rahimahullah) has recorded this as part of a longer narration. Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) has also recorded this narration in Al Adabul Mufrad.
(Musnad Ahmad, vol. 4 pg. 227 and Al Adabul Mufrad, Hadith: 323)
The Hadith is suitable to quote and is sufficiently corroborated and may be quoted.
