Reciting La ilaha illallah frequently

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

Is there a Hadith that says to recite La ilaha illallah while walking on flat/even ground? If so, please mention the full Hadith with the translation and reference.

Answer

I haven’t seen this in the popular Hadith sources.

It seems to be a ‘suggested’ form of dhikr, that is encouraged by certain senior ‘Ulama.

The recital of this dhikr (la ilaha illallah) is termed as the best dhikr in the Hadith. Thats probably why it was suggested as a recital while walking on even ground, since there are specific recitals for when climbing high ground or descending.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best,
