A narration regarding the stars before Qiyamah

‘Allamah Qurtubi (rahimahullah) has mentioned this narration in his Tafsir. Is it authentic and does this mean that the stars will fall on the Earth?

Answer

‘Allamah Qurtubi (rahimahullah) has cited this narration under the verse:

‘And when the stars lose their luster’

(Surah, At Takwir, Verse: 2)

The apparent meaning of the narration is that the stars will fall. However, I have not come across the full chain of narrators and can therefore not verify the authenticity.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
