Please can you translate this Hadith and provide its meaning.

Answer

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said, “People will sweat so profusely on the Day of Qiyamah that their sweat will be absorbed deep into the earth, and yet still reach up-to their ears.”

This Hadith helps illustrate the perilousness of the Day of Qiyamah. From other Hadiths of this nature, we understand that this will not be the condition of all people, but each will undergo suffering in accordance to their actions in this world. Some will be soaked up-to their ankles, some up-to their knees, and some will be swimming in their own sweat. In its essence, this Hadith is meant to conscientise the one who hears it.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best,
