Assalamualikum wr wb
I would like to tell you that my youngetr daughter offers 2 rakaat nafl as written in books but the teacher from whom she learns quran says there is no salaat after witr.I want proof of this after witr 2 rakaat nafl salaat.I am asking this as my duaghters are too young and they might get confused before muqalid and ghair muqallids.I cant even find anyother teacher who will teach quran properly near my house.So please help.

The two Rakaats of Nafl Salaah after the Witr Salaah have been established in the Hadeeth. [1]Hereunder are a few Ahadeeth (traditions) which prove this:
ان النبي صلي الله عليه و سلم كان يصليهما بعد الوتر و هو جالس يقرأ فيهما اذا زلزلت و قل يا أيها الكافرون
1. “Rasullullah(Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) used to perform two Rakaats after Witr while sitting, he would recite (the following chapters)Iza Zulzilat and Qul Ya Ayyuha al- Kafiroon” (Tahawi, Vol.1, Pg.168, Bab al- Tathawwu ba’dal witr)
ان النبي صلي الله عليه و سلم كان يصلي بعد الوتر ركعتين و هو جالس و يقرأ في الركعة الأولي بأم القرآن اذا زلزلت و في الثانية قل يا أيها الكافرون
2. “Rasullullah(Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) used to perform two Rakaats after Witr while sitting, he would recite in the first Rakaat (the following chapters)Iza Zulzilat and in the second Rakaat Qul Ya Ayyuha al- Kafiroon” (Sunan al- Daraqutni, Vol.2, Pg.39, Sunan Baihaqi, Vol.3, Pg.33)
كان يصلي ثلاث ركعة يصلي ثمان ركعات ثم يوتر ثم يصلي ركعتين و هو جالس
3. “Rasullullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) used to perform thirteen Rakaats, He would perform eight Rakaats, then He would perform Witr, then He would perform two Rakaats while sitting” (Saheeh Muslim, Vol.1, Pg.254)
The two Rakaats of Nafl Salaah after the Witr Salaah are clearly established from the above Ahadeeth.
We advise you to deal with your children’s teacher with diplomacy and wisdom in such issues.
