Hadith prohibiting Backgammon

What is the authenticity of the following Hadith?

He who plays Backgammon has disobeyed Allah Ta’ala and His Messenger

Answer:

Sayyiduna Abu Musa Al Ash’ari (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “He who plays Backgammon has disobeyed Allah Ta’ala and His Messenger”

(Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 4899. Declared Sahih -authentic- by Imam Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 5872)
