.وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ – صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ – خَطَبَ وَعَلَيْهِ عِمَامَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ، قَدْ أَرْخَى طَرَفَيْهَا بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ
In this Hadith I would like to know whether the two ends of the turban were at the front between the two shoulders or at the back between the two shoulders? Or could it have both possibilities?
Answer
The Scholars usually quote this as a proof for allowing the tail of the turban to hang at the back, behind the shoulders.
