The reward for a morsel given in charity increases to the size of Mount Uhud

Could you verify the authenticity of this narration?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Certainly Allah Ta’ala rears and increases the reward of a date or morsel given in charity just as one of you rears a foal or young camel, until the reward reaches the size of Mount Uhud”

Imam Ahmad and Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahumallah) have recorded the words cited above on the authority of Sayyidatuna ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha). Imam Ibn Hibban has declared the Hadith authentic.

(Musnad Ahmad, vol. 6 pg. 251, Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 3317)

Imam Ibn Hibban, Imam Tabarani (rahimahumallah) and others have also recorded other versions of this narration.

(Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 3318, 3319, Al Mu’jamul Awsat, Hadith: 4240. Refer: Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 3 pg. 110/111)

Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) has recorded a similar Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu). See here for the full text.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
