The position of Salah in Islam is as the position of the head in the body

Kindly provide the reference for the following narration:

‘There is no Islam in a person when there is no Salah by him. The position of Salah in Islam is as the position of the head in a body’

Answer

Imam Tabarani (rahimahullah) has recorded these words on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) as part of a longer narration.

(Al Mu’jamul Awsat, Hadith: 2313 and Al Mu’jamus Saghir, Hadith: 162)

See Targhib, vol. 1 pg. 378-395 for similar corroborating narrations.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
